About Life Cykel

Life Cykel is a mushroom biotechnology company with a mission to unlock the power of the fungal kingdom for human and planetary health. Founded in 2015 by Julian Mitchell and Ryan Creed in Perth, Western Australia, the company was born from a desire to create a circular economy model by cultivating mushrooms from coffee waste. This initial sustainability project quickly evolved into a global wellness brand, driven by a passion for regenerative innovation and a commitment to scientific research. Life Cykel's journey began with a simple yet profound observation: the vast amounts of nutrient-rich coffee grounds being discarded daily. Mitchell and Creed saw an opportunity to repurpose this 'waste' into a valuable resource for growing gourmet and functional mushrooms. This circular economy ethos remains at the core of the company's identity, reflecting a deep respect for the planet and its resources. The brand's name itself, 'Life Cykel,' is a nod to the full life cycle of the mushroom and the Scandinavian philosophy of a balanced and healthy life. As the company grew, so did its focus on the science behind functional mushrooms. Recognizing the immense potential of these natural wonders, Life Cykel invested heavily in research and development, hiring a scientist as their first employee. This commitment to evidence-based innovation has been instrumental in the development of their high-quality, full-spectrum liquid extracts. The company's expansion to Byron Bay, a hub of natural health and wellness in Australia, further solidified its position as a leader in the mushroom industry. Life Cykel's product line is centered around potent liquid extracts of functional mushrooms such as Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Turkey Tail, and Shiitake. These extracts are created using a unique dual-extraction process that utilizes both water and alcohol to ensure maximum bioavailability of the beneficial compounds. This meticulous approach guarantees that customers receive the full spectrum of the mushrooms' health-enhancing properties. In addition to their signature mushroom extracts, Life Cykel offers a range of other wellness products, including Shilajit Pure Resin, Liposomal NR & NAD+, and functional mushroom-infused coffee. The brand's target audience includes health-conscious individuals, biohackers, athletes, and anyone seeking to optimize their physical and mental performance. Life Cykel has cultivated a strong following among high-performers, including professional athletes and elite trainers, who trust the brand for its commitment to quality and efficacy. The company's dedication to quality is further demonstrated by its rigorous third-party lab testing. Every batch of their products is tested for purity and potency, ensuring that they are free from heavy metals, pesticides, and other contaminants. This transparency and commitment to quality have earned Life Cykel the trust of over 300,000 customers worldwide and more than 19,000 five-star reviews. Life Cykel's market position is that of a premium, science-backed wellness brand that is deeply rooted in sustainability and ethical practices. The company's unique selling propositions include its circular economy origins, its focus on scientific research, its dual-extraction process, and its use of wild-harvested Australian native ingredients like Kakadu Plum. Furthermore, Life Cykel is committed to giving back to the community through partnerships with organizations like BUR’AN and the Byron Bay Herb Nursery. As Life Cykel looks to the future, it remains dedicated to its founding mission of harnessing the intelligence of mushrooms to create a healthier, more sustainable world. With a strong foundation in science, a commitment to quality, and a passion for innovation, Life Cykel is poised to continue its growth as a global leader in the functional mushroom industry.
