How We Rate Products
Our review methodology is designed to be transparent, consistent, and useful. Here's exactly how we evaluate every mushroom supplement.
Rating Categories
Each product is scored on five key dimensions, weighted equally to produce a final rating out of 10:
💰 Value (20%)
Price per serving relative to ingredient quality and dosage. We compare cost against similar products in the category.
🧪 Ingredients (20%)
Quality and dosage of active ingredients. We look for clinically studied doses, fruiting body vs. mycelium, extraction methods, and filler ingredients.
👅 Taste (20%)
Flavor, texture, and overall consumption experience. For coffee, this includes brew quality and how well mushroom flavors are balanced.
🔍 Transparency (20%)
Honest labeling, clear ingredient lists, accessible lab testing results, and straightforward marketing claims.
🤝 Support (20%)
Customer service quality, return policies, shipping speed, and overall buying experience.
Lab Testing Verification
We actively seek out and verify third-party lab testing documentation (Certificates of Analysis) for every product we review. Products with verified COAs receive a "Lab Tested ✅" badge. When lab documentation is unavailable or under review, we note this clearly.
