A smartshop is a retail store that sells legal psychoactive substances, herbal supplements, and functional wellness products. They are most common in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and other parts of Europe. Smartshops often carry magic truffles, kratom, kava, herbal extracts, and functional mushroom products.

What products do smartshops sell?

Smartshops typically sell: magic truffles (psilocybin-containing, legal in Netherlands), herbal supplements, microdosing products, kratom, kava, CBD, nootropics, and functional mushroom products like Lion's Mane and Reishi. Product availability depends on local laws.

Are smartshops legal?

Smartshops operate legally in jurisdictions where their products are permitted. In the Netherlands, smartshops are fully legal and regulated. Magic truffles (containing psilocybin) are legal there, unlike magic mushrooms which were banned in 2008. Always check local laws before purchasing any products.

Do smartshops sell functional mushroom products?

Yes, many smartshops carry functional (non-psychedelic) mushroom products alongside their other offerings. This includes Lion's Mane supplements for cognitive support, Reishi for relaxation, and mushroom-based nootropic blends. These are legal everywhere and offer adaptogenic health benefits.

Check Smartshop Listing Details

A smartshop listing is a starting point. Confirm the shop is open, the product category is available, and the local rules match what you plan to buy.

Check these details before you travel or order:

Confirm the physical address, active website, and opening hours before traveling.
Check whether recent reviews or listing updates show the shop is still operating.
Look for age policy, product category, and legal-limit information on the listing or shop site.
Use the contact button when a listing does not show a recent verification signal.
Treat "may carry" products as a prompt to call, not as a stock guarantee.
