Hometown Hero is a hemp and cannabis brand from Austin, Texas. Two friends, Lukas Gilkey and Lewis Hamer, started it in the summer of 2015 by crafting and selling handmade products out of Lukas' home. The company is veteran-owned and says it grows without chemical pesticides or fertilizers on its own Texas farm. Products are handcrafted in a GMP-certified facility and go through full-panel testing for potency and contaminants. Reviews split on customer service, with some buyers praising helpful staff and others saying their questions went unanswered, and opinions on the brand's support for veterans divide the same way.
